The pandemic continues to highlight the urgent need for tailored healthcare interventions that address health inequity and improve health outcomes for the underserved. Health equity-focused conversations are often peppered with the refrain “Meet people where they are”, suggesting a need to tailor health interventions based on social context and a patient’s lived experience. Despite this recognition, we have yet to value and broadly adopt an underutilized and undervalued intervention that embodies the concept of meeting people where they are. This intervention is the deployment of mobile primary care.
